Salty Paws NOVA
 

Salty Paws NOVA was established in 2023 with the belief we can serve Northern Virginia with the best, most delicious products for our furry best friends. 

I, Julie Bell, was raised with pets my entire life. From having many dogs of many different breeds, to other animals (such as cats, hamsters, gerbils, rabbits, birds, turtles and fish), I soon realized that "pet" is not an adequate term, as in my home they truly were family members. I have four biological brothers but have also had many other siblings of various species. But how did it come to be that I wanted to work with such a unique concept?

Having had successfully worked in the mortgage industry for almost 30 years, I often felt something missing from my life. The work I was doing was successful, but that industry is so finicky, and I grew tired of the ups and downs of the business. My brother and sister-in-law knew I was looking for a new (ad)venture and talked to me about Salty Paws. I was immediately excited about work again! 

I currently have a Papillon, Koko, that I inherited from an elderly neighbor when he had to move into a nursing home. He and my dog Akuto (Shiba Inu) were best friends on the outside, so I was honored that he asked me to take care of beloved dog. I also have a shelter rescue, Loki, a Husky, that I adopted right before Christmas 2023. Thinking about them and the others from my past, I realized that working with and meeting others' furry family members would fill the void I so longed to fill. What better way to do this than to share the joy of delicious treats and quality products directly to your best friends and furry family members?

Salty Paws NOVA is a family-run business focused on making every four-legged new acquaintance feel like a family member. To take on this adventure, I sought out Salty Paws to bring their amazing products right to your door. Along with my brother, Michael, we aim to meet new friends and share delicious treats and amazing ice cream flavors all over Northern Virginia. Through meetings at various pet shows and expos, as well as direct delivery to your home, we hope to spread the joy we have to offer your loved ones.
